Haul!

I had a full time job this summer I wasn't able to as much as I usually am in the summer! I am really looking forward to shopping Sunday and Monday with my mom, but here are some things that I recently bought in my random trips to NYC or online!

1.  Top Shop Blouse
It looks very different in person, but this top shop blouse is very on trend-- with both color blocking and it is very sheer.  I think it will be a great piece that will transition into fall very well.

2. Ella Moss Shirt
I bought this earlier in the summer.  I absolutely love this top, its light and flowy which I love for the summer months!

3. Lace Target Dress!

I usually don't find clothing from target that fit correctly except for bathing suits and cover ups but I found this dress there yesterday and I loved it! A perfect color for the summer!

4. Armani Exchange Dress

My mom bought this dress for me online after seeing it one the Today Show! I love it.  I think it would be amazing with a colorful belt!

5. Dr. Jart BB Cream
I got a sample of this in my Birch Box in May and I really loved it.  The only thing holding me back from purchasing it right away was that I just bought my Chanel Aqualumiere Foundation.  An email from Birchbox giving me 20% off a purchase quickly made me buy this amazing beauty product. It is a perfect face product to use in the muggy months of summer.

6. Blinc Mascara

I also learned about his product from my Birchbox. I truely believe it is the most natural mascara with the best staying power! Its a new formula which is called a tubing mascara which creates a layer on your lash  Most mascaras usually come off onto my upper eyelid but this hasn't budged.  Obsessed and in love with it!
Get more info about it here: http://www.blincinc.com/mascara.php

Hope you're having a great summer :)

Inspiration

As every sophomore in college knows... it's time to make up our minds about what we want to do with our lives (or what to major in at least) and I have been trying to figure out what I really love.  One of those things is houses.  I love intriguing houses filled with stories, amazing decor and plush furniture.  Of course, I then decided I may want to be a real estate agent (it may be influenced by million dollar listing too...) but my mom convinced me otherwise.  So I am back to square one--trying to mix my love for fashion and beauty with my academics.  I really need to make up my mind soon but now I am thinking of double majoring in Economics and Political Science. Therefore, I do not need to make up my mind just yet ;).  Well that was pointless information, but here are my photos that are inspiring me lately.

As you can probably tell from the pictures above, I love white houses with really bright pops of color.  I cannot wait to get my own apartment one day and decorate it and I mean one that has character... not like a college dorm room.

I'm back!

I took a really long break from this blog.. which i barely wrote on anyway but I decided that I want to come back, so here I am.  Expect more posts now!

Elle Fanning

I am shocked by the level of knowledge of fashion that Elle Fanning has.  I have fashion envy of this 12 year old celebrity!  I never really read Teen Vogue as much anymore because my subscription ended but I recently got the magazine of Elle Fanning and fell in love with her style.  She is always age-appropriate but whimsical and fun.  She is also spot-on in trends and I believe is a trendsetter for girls of a younger age.  Here are some of my favorite of her looks and some of my favorite shots from her spread in Teen Vogue.

In Marc Jacobs. I love that she wears a dresses straight from the runway.

This Valentino dress is gorgeous and fun.  I love her hair style, too.

In Louis Vuitton Spring Collection from this year

Golden Globes

So here are my favorite looks for the Golden Globes.

I love the simplicity to this dress with the bold turquoise jewelry, but to be honest I would love any simple dress with turquoise jewelry.
Heidi Klum in Calvin Klein Collection

For some reason I absolutely am in love with this dress, its chic and so different.

Evan Rachel Wood in Gucci

At first, I hated this look by Emma Stone, but once I saw it a couple of more times I started to love it. I love the paneling of different colors and the belt (I'm not sure if I love the eagle but its still amazing)

Emma Stone in Lavin

Sofia Vergara is a women that everyone wants to be.  Anything she puts on that hugs her curves always looks amazing. She is also hilarious and I died every time I saw her interviews.

MY FAVORITE:
This was an amazing moment for Shailene, she has never been known as a real actress and for her to be nominated for a golden globe is amazing.  I am seeing the movie tomorrow so I will actually have an opinion about her role, but I love this dress.  Everyone who saw her said the detail in this dress is amazing and I think that is missing in the photographs.  I LOVE this look and is definitely on the top of my best dressed list.  Its amazing and I am so looking forward to her other red carpet appearances in this awards season.

Shailene Woodley in Marchesa

To me, awards season makes winter a little more bearable.  I cannot wait for the next couple of awards shows and to finish seeing all of the movies that have "Oscar Buzz".

Emma Stone's Red Carpet Style

I absolutely in love with Emma Stone's red carpet looks this past year. She has a corky style that seems classic when she wears it.  She not only dresses in bright, vibrant colors, but also pairs colors of shoes, clothes and makeup together in a way that is very unpredictable.  I love everything about Emma Stone, from her hilarious personality to her style. Here are my favorite looks in the 2011.

Trend: Colored Jeans

While visiting the mall the other day, everywhere I look I saw colored jeans.  From Bloomingdales to J.Crew, the most popular colors I saw where both vibrant blues and orange-y red.  At first, I was unsure of whether or not I liked the trend.  After seriously consideration in the dressing room and my mom's persistance, I bought a pair of orange jeans from J.Crew.  After I bought them, I realized that I kept seeing many different celebs wearing blue & orange jeans, which helped me to find ways of styling colored jeans. I feel that my favorite outfits that include colored jeans are simple on top (mostly black and white). Here are some of my favorite outfits that I have found:

Ashley Benson
Except for he bright green sunglasses, which I don't like, this outfit is great way to style colored jeans. her use of blacks and whites with the colored jeans actually makes her jeans seem normal.  I also love these boots with the studs on the sides.

Brooke Vincent & Sacha Parkinson
Although I think her jeans may be a little too tight, I love that she keeps
her tops simple while her pants and boots give her outfit the stylish edge that she needs.

Emily Blunt
Brown jeans should be a new staple, I love browns and these have a cool
edge in the inner-leg which are darker than the others.  I also love her combate boots.

Jessica Alba

Lily Collins

Molly Sims

Olivia Palermo's Street Style

There is no doubt that when Olivia Palermo's name pops up in my mind I think about a couple of descriptions-- on trend, high-end, socialite. Her style conveys an elegance that many celebrities her age lack.  Although my first impressions of Olivia are from the TV series, The City, where her arrogance was annoyingly unbearable, her style is something to be applauded. Although her pieces are classic, she styles them with unexpected pops of color that I admire.  Her style seems effortless and chic--two things that every woman's style should be. She emphasizes and creates great shapes in her clothing; she uses belts and high waisted skirts to emphasize her naturally small waist and shows off her legs with skirts and shorts (with tights when necessary).  I love her cat-eyed sunglasses and use of furs seen in these photos below.

I absolutely love her flowing polka-dot shorts

I love her use of summer shorts with tights which creates a great fall outfit
and her wax jacket that she emphasized her waist with her belt.
I believe that is Emma Roberts next to her--she looks amazing too.

Her skinny-legged leather pants and fur vest all styled effortless but
given a pop of color with her flats, clutch and scarf.

A classic, everyday look with amazing shoes.

Such amazing look use of different furs with her
cool vest and thick scarf.

I love her leather shorts and her unexpected satin green shoes.

I absolutely LOVE these shoes and the outfit as a whole.
The shoes are stellar, her sunglasses are "major" and her outfit is
so classic that the entire outfit it simple enough that any one could
understand but the shoes add a stylish chic edge that I personally love.
